US, Iraq close in on deal for pullout of US troops
On thursday it was announced that Iraq and the US are pushing close to a deal to withdraw the American troops out of major Iraqi cities. They are agreeing to terms that by December 2011 the American troops will wtihdraw and hopefully they can all go home. The two rivals that are trying to take Bush's place as president they are both arguing about the future of this war. Obama said that if he takes office he wants all US combat forces out of Iraq within 16 months. But he is saying that Afghanistan urgently needs help so he will decide to order the troops to go fight over there. But Mccain says that their are recent security improvements and he wants the troops to stay there to make sure everything will be in order.
MY COMMENTS & OPINIONS THIS ARTICLE:
I think that president Bush never did a good job as being the president and dealing with the war. I think Obama can do a better in running for President but i dont like the idea of having the troops go fight somewhere else. I kind of do like Mccain's reason to stay in Iraq and stay there to make sure that the country is secure. But we shouldnt even be there anymore there is no point in fighting over there when is never going to stop theres always gonna be terror. Doesnt make sense to stay there anymore Saddam Hussein the leader that tormented and killed his people is gone. Bin Laden might still be around but theres no threat anymore, so i think that either Bush or the two runners for presidency should change all this and let the soldiers go back to their families. A lot of soldiers have died in this war, so many familie's lives are destroyed and are still hurt from losing their loved ones. i think this should end immediately nothing has changed in the past years since the war started it just created more problems for Iraq and our country.
