Narrative Essay
The stage grew larger and larger and the sign on the podium became visible with every step I took. I could see all of the people I spent my last four years with and I thought are they as nervous as I am? I could barely hear the music played by the band, as it was overpowered by the screams of the crowd cheering in honor of our accomplishment. The smell of fresh cut grass floated around me like the bees the day before. I could feel the heat of an early summer’s day on my back. As I’m walking I stare at everyone who is dressed like me and I think I’m never going to see these people again. I start to reflect on my past years of high school.

Best Paragraph Narrative Essay
It was early in the morning waking up in my first day of spring break when I was in 7th grade. I was the youngest in my class because I was only twelve years old and everyone was already ready to turn thirteen. It was going to be a hot day and I was already feeling the heat. I went in my kitchen to eat breakfast until the phone rang and I answered it, it was my friend Vince. “What up man u still coming over shoot some hoops?” he asked. I was feeling lazy and tired but I thought about it and I said”Yea ill be there in a couple of minutes”. When we hanged up I was already on my way to my room to put my shorts and tank top on. When I got out of my house the weather felt even hotter then being inside the house. I felt more lazy and tired because of the heat but I started walking to Vince’s house.

It’s early in the morning and the sun still has not risen for the day. School had just started about 3 weeks earlier, so I was up pretty early getting ready. The first thing I remember that early morning is my mom saying hurry turn on the T.V., turn on the T.V. I honestly didn’t really think much of it. So I just went about my business and got in the shower. When I had gotten out of the shower I hear my parents talking, this is weird to me. Why, because my dad usually leaves to work around 6 and it was already around 7:30. But I thought maybe he didn’t get up in time or his not feeling well, I just kind of let it go and didn’t think much about it after that. So I just kept getting ready for school, then I hear my mom saying maybe Ellen shouldn’t go to school today. Then it hit me some things going on. My mom never lets me miss school. Then the next thing I know my parents are telling me to come to the font room, my first thought is that something had happen to a family member. Then they said I needed to watch the T.V. right now. I couldn’t believe it I was so scared, I started to cry.
scene one
It was a quiet, summer day, in the afternoon, when me, my older sister Christina, and my mother where in the hotel room at the Seaward Inn. We were taking a vacation away from home for a little bit. We had started to head up the stairs because our room was on the second floor of the hotel. I remember going up and down the stairs o f the hotel playing with my sister, we were told then to stop playing on the stairs because my mom didn’t want us to fall and get hurt, so we stopped going up and down on the stairs. Then after we left the staircase we started running in the hallway to our room and we finally got to our room. We went into our room and we unloaded our luggage. We got bored from doing that so we stopped and started to play. Christina and I were running around the room, playing tag, not listening to my mom. My mom warned us to stop because she knew one of us was going to get hurt but we kept playing and not listening to her, for once we should have listened to her. So me and my sister kept playing and the next thing my mom hears was me screaming and crying for help.
I had tripped and fell and cracked my head open, I had run into a corner of the door. If I would have stopped and listened to my mom and not have been playing around in the room I wouldn't have cracked my head open, and not have gotten my stitches. I learned that day even though I was a little kid, that I should always listen to my mom even when I don't want too, which is most20of the time.

All I wanted to do was to be more connected with this unfathomable beauty, in a physical way. The chilly wind on my face was soothing and I wanted to view this beauty with my eyes, without the intervention of a glass window pane. I realized, after closing the window and returning to my seat that it wasn’t that my family didn’t notice the beauty, they did, they just didn’t care. “Its winter, what did you expect.”
After hours and even days on the train, we eventually ended up in Paris. To travel to the Louvre was on the agenda and at 4:33 the piercing shrill of our hotel phone rings and my drowsy cousin answers.

I did not put London down for a second. I went outside and got my jacket and wrapped her in it. I walked over to my cousin Lily, who is London’s mother and she was wrapped up in a blanket, twitching. She looked like her soul was sucked out of her body. She couldn’t even talk straight. My grandma said that she wasn’t feeling well and the medications she was taking made her that way. I thought differently. You could easily tell that there was more to it. She was pale and super skinny; no one just changes like that over night.
Sooner than I had hoped my grandma said we had to leave. I soon found out that baby cousin had to stay because of some stupid reason. I told my grandma no, I didn’t want to be disrespectful but I had to speak up for London, because if I didn’t who would? I told her that I would take her. I would take care of her. But, we had to leave her there. It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. Leave my baby cousin there with her retarded tweaker called a mother. I tried with all my power to get my grandma to let her come with us. But we had to leave her there. I cried all the way home. I was sick to my stomach, I felt like I got stab in the stomach over and over. I was powerless, and I hated that. I hated my cousin Lily, she use to be my hero, now she is just a druggie and a loser. I never have hated someone so much. With every inch of my body and soul I wanted to yell and kick the shit out my cousin. What was she thinking, she was better than that, or she use to be
Boring class “French class”. It was early morning and the sun was hitting the class with all its heat. The classroom was really bright because the sun reflected on the white board. The teacher as always was just walking around making sure everyone was doing their work. She was a tall skinny French looking person that was so focused on what she was doing that it seemed that she could not hear one unless she was looking directly at one. For some reason it seemed that she always had it out for me and my friends. Whenever she would assign work we were always the first one’s she would check. The class room was not very big but seemed to be filled with twice as many students as it should have been. It only seemed that way but in reality it was not over populated in the room it was just that everyone in that class was chaotic . There was pencils flying around books flying around and the occasional chair but all of this was done behind the teachers back.

On a cold and cloudy February afternoon, Tuesday to be exact, I had something within me that I had to get out, some sort of desperation and anxiousness was within me that day. Driving with my parents that afternoon on the 33 seemed as if it took forever, every turn we made I felt as if we were going to crash, I just felt completely full of fear that day for some reason I did not know if it was just me imagining things or if it was some sort of signal for something to come.

The Start Of My Relationship
February 11, 2004 was one of the best and worst days of my life. It is one of the moments in my life I will never forget. It was two days before my birthday. It was a cold sunny day as a was walking down to the front gate of my school from the principles office. After I got scolded at for fighting and got suspended from school for two days. As I’m getting home after my parents yelled at me. I saw (Efrain) this a guy I had a crush on, he saw me and smiled and said “hi”, I ran towards his green Chevy truck and smiled back. I just thought to my self “this has just made my day a lot better”. As I got in his truck I could smell his cologne we started talking about different things. But then we started talking about his friend telling him that I liked him. I asked him what did he think about the fact that I liked him he told me that he liked me too. After a few minutes of silence he asked me “well do you want to try it”, I just looked at him and blanked for a moment, I responded “try what”. At first I didn’t know what meant or what he was talking about. He just looked at me and smiled and said “you and me”. What he meant was if I wanted to be his girlfriend and of course I said “yes”. after that all I kept thinking about is how exciting I was to have him as a boyfriend.

Obama raps McCain for ignorance of hi on houses
By MATT APUZZO
Associated Press Writer
This article talked about comments that McCain had made in a resent interview with Politico regarding the houses he owned and the money him and his wife Cindy McCain have. McCain’s campaign made some comments to Politico about the houses that him and his wife have, they said it was four houses in three different states. Later Newsweek made an estimate that they actually owned seven house. These comments upset the Obama campaign, which Obama set out to do sixteen campaigns across the country were he talked about all the McCain comments about how much a person in the U.S. has to make 5 million dollars a year to be consider rich. McCain later fire back saying that Osama shouldn’t make comments when he recently returned from a private beach in Hawaii and he has a million dollar mansion. But McCain got this wrong because Hawaii has no private beaches and the is were Obama was born and lived most of his life.
The reason why I chose this article is because my dad and I are planning on voting this year and I want to know more about the nominees. This article relates to how they might help the economy and what they think about it. I think that the candidates should think more about how they will help the economy one they get the presidency. Instead on focusing on how much money they make and how many houses they have they should focus and what they will for the country after one of them becomes the president. My only concern is for who ever gets the presidency is that they will do something good for the people, schools, the kids, health benefits, and social security. I just have faith that they will do good and help.
Play 4 Florida lottory numbers same in consecutive drawings
In my opinion i don't think that anyone rigged the drawings for those days. The chances of getting the same four numbers two days in a row is highly unlikely but it is still plausible. But for the drawing that was back in the 1980s, i believe that somehow they managed to rig the game to play 3 of the same number.

Activists protest for Ram`s freedom.
From my personal point of view, I feel that the government is wrong for having the attitude they have. Ram lives in the jungle and therefore does not understand these laws or in many aspects the way of modern life. It is of course true that it is not wise to contain a wild bear inside a human household. However, it can be argued that the bear had adapted itself to living in human conditions and sees Ram somewhat as a father in its life. This is perhaps proven by the fact that the bear refuses to eat when it is in the zoo, empaphazing the fact that the bear will not eat because of the absence of Ram.
My personal viewpoint stands with the activists, and I believe that Ram should be free to live with the bear in its current habitat.

Alejandrina HW for friday (article summary)
Kidnapping has increase over the years. In Mexico there was a fake checkpoint that leaded to a kidnapping tragedy. A 14 year old named Fernando Marti was the victim. His father paid hundreds of dollars for his safe return but instead he turn out to be dead. In Fernando’s case a police was involved in the kidnapping; this officer was the key participant in the kidnapping plan. As a result suspicions of police involvement in crimes on kidnapping grew nationwide. In order to solve these types of problems president Calderon said he is going to change the security systems of prisons making more high security. Mexico has the highest numbers of kidnapping, 9.1 percent of kidnappings are in this year which makes an estimate of 65 per month nationwide. Another organization name the nonprofit citizen institute state the true numbers are 500 a month nationwide. Not only high class people are victims now kidnappers are kidnapping middle class Days before the finding of Marti’s body a family of six people were killed in Jalisco. Mexico has left death penalty. Life sentence is only 50 years. The public is angry and are protesting for this occurrence.
My opinion and thoughts:
Why do people kidnap other innocent victims? Kidnapping is very serious situation. This happens a lot in Mexico just for money. I think it is very sad to see how society acts toward one another. It also happens a lot with younger people like this 14 year boy. The people who do such a disaster like this should be punished for life. They don’t have any idea what they put the family through. Not only those it looks bad in society but it makes they look horrible. Jails just make it worst therefore they should be punished a little more than jail. Kidnapping is just so dramatic. The effects just makes it worst.
Bring the Troops Home!
In this article they talked about the fact that they want to plan by next summer to have the majority of US troops out of Iraqi cities. The exit date could possibly be in December of 2011. President Bush has not wanted to set a time when the troops will be brought home, but in these last few weeks his thoughts may have been changing. But, another important factor to realize is that Bush has a say for now but it will be up to our next President. It will be up to Obama who wants to have troops home within the first 16 months of him taking office. Then there is McCain who does not state when he would bring the troops home. There has been many lost lives on both sides of this war.
My Opinion:
I think that we should pull out our troops from Iraq because there are so many lives getting lost everyday. I currently have a brother that is in Iraq. He is a United States Marine. It is really scary to have a loved one in a war and so far away. I truly dont think that war is going to solve anything 100%. I think war will make change for a small period of time, but as history shows we always have another war over something or the same thing. It never seems to end, all of this violence. By the looks of it, it doesn't seem to be working. So I think we need to find a new solution to solving any conflicts that we may have. I don't want to have to worry about my brother dying in the war, and having the fear that I may not see him again. So overall, I think this war has gone on long enough, and we have done what we can already. So we should bring our loved ones home, well we can.

The 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake was an undersea earthquake that occurred at 00:58:53 UTC on December 26, 2004, with an epicentre off the west coast of Sumatra, Indonesia. The earthquake was caused by subduction and triggered a series of devastating tsunamis along the coasts of most landmasses bordering the Indian Ocean, killing more than 225,000 people in eleven countries, and inundating coastal communities with waves up to 30 meters (100 feet) high. It was one of the deadliest natural disasters in history. Indonesia, SriLanka, India, and Thailand ere hardest hit.
Comments and Opinion:
I liked this article because it shows us how powerful is the nature. I think this earthquake was the most dangerous natural disaster. My father had been in Bali, Indonesia 2 weeks before this catastrophe and he told me how beautiful was that place and now, everything is destroyed. I also think that all the countries need to make a reunion and help more this poor countries, like to help to rebuild their natural beauty.
Drinking age debate
This is a worthless argument. It is shocking that people of such high social standing are seeking a debate on lowering the drinking age. It is understandable that some students think that it is the same maturity between 21 and 18. In addition, college students will drink whether it is illegal or not.
However, we already have a law that prohibits drinking alcoholic beverages for those under 21. There is no reason to change the law, because it is very clear that drinking alcohol since one’s youth will have harmful effects on health. Younger people have less responsibility and tend to abuse alcohol. Therefore, college students should avoid alcohol as much as they can and concentrate on their studies. Moreover, we, adults should spend our time discussing young people’s future, such as their education or health; rather than putting them in a more dangerous environment.

US, Iraq close in on deal for pullout of US troops
On thursday it was announced that Iraq and the US are pushing close to a deal to withdraw the American troops out of major Iraqi cities. They are agreeing to terms that by December 2011 the American troops will wtihdraw and hopefully they can all go home. The two rivals that are trying to take Bush's place as president they are both arguing about the future of this war. Obama said that if he takes office he wants all US combat forces out of Iraq within 16 months. But he is saying that Afghanistan urgently needs help so he will decide to order the troops to go fight over there. But Mccain says that their are recent security improvements and he wants the troops to stay there to make sure everything will be in order.
MY COMMENTS & OPINIONS THIS ARTICLE:
I think that president Bush never did a good job as being the president and dealing with the war. I think Obama can do a better in running for President but i dont like the idea of having the troops go fight somewhere else. I kind of do like Mccain's reason to stay in Iraq and stay there to make sure that the country is secure. But we shouldnt even be there anymore there is no point in fighting over there when is never going to stop theres always gonna be terror. Doesnt make sense to stay there anymore Saddam Hussein the leader that tormented and killed his people is gone. Bin Laden might still be around but theres no threat anymore, so i think that either Bush or the two runners for presidency should change all this and let the soldiers go back to their families. A lot of soldiers have died in this war, so many familie's lives are destroyed and are still hurt from losing their loved ones. i think this should end immediately nothing has changed in the past years since the war started it just created more problems for Iraq and our country.

This articles is about this tragedy that took placed in a Tennessee High School. Apparently, for no reason, this kid shoot his classmate at the cafeteria. They were both 15 years old. Students that witness the shooting say they didn't know what was going on until they saw the victim falling on the floor. Some students said they "heard a sharp noise" and then everybody was running out of the cafeteria. Others were trying to get in the room to see what was happening. The murderer is in a detention facility.
My opinion and thoughts:
Of course this is not the first time this has happened. Not only in this year but in this month. This is a serious tragedy. It seems like it is turning into something "common", we need to not give up and pay attention to what is going on with our students in high schools. It is sad that soon we will have to get to the point to check every student when they get to school to see if they are carrying a weapon. This is not only the job of the Governor or President. This should be a community job. We should start by giving our youth a better education, better values, and teach them about respect for our own life and for others.

In Santa Ana California the Federal Government set up a program for immigrats to turn themselves in for deportation without having to face any criminal charges. As for those facing court orders they were offered 90 days to leave the country. this program was offered in five different cities in order for them to plan their departure without having to face any type of enforcements in the future. In the past three weeks in the trial 8 immigrats have turn themselves in said an official. The ICE plans to end the schedule departure by friday. So far the program hasn't been has effective as they hope it would be; since in fact they are using a non forceful tactic. In which many still oppose since its only returning the immigrats back to same country they ran away from.
The article reveals ways how immigrats can be handle in a less forceful manner. Although it is still not exactly resolving the issue. The issue being that these people left their country to seek opportunity; in order to provide stability. The program is only returning the immigrats who will eventually return. Instead we should provide some type of program to allow them to get premission to work in order to be able to tax them to gain from them as they gain from us. resulting in less protest and more control.

Adrian Ceniceros Homework for Thursday.
Summary:
The Iraq and the US troops soon to pull out of the war on Thursday to exit Iraq cities by next June. By ending this very expensive was by the year 2011. Pending approval on Iraqi leadership to exit the war by December 2011. Although President Bush has avoided the subject of ending the war, even with many American deaths when the war started back in 2003. The two people for the next commander in chief Republican John McCain and Democrat Barack Obama often discuss the future outcome of this lengthly war. Republican Barack Obama would like all US troops to be out if Iraq with 16 months of him taking office. but both see no hurry for the oulling out of US Troops.
Comments:
The comments that i would like to make about this article is that there is too much talking about the situation of wether to pull out of the war or to wait two more years when more deaths can occur. I also would like to comment that yes pulling US Troops is a difficult move but why not start bringing home troops a little at a time. I beleive that if we pull out of the war Iraq might pull a tricky move on us and get us again. I also think that Bush didnt know what he was doing when begining this war. But thats my opinion.
Concerns and Opinions:
the concerns i have are when the troops will finally come home and how fast we can get them home. I have a family member that is serving in the war and concerns to arise. Wondering if he is doing ok or if he is still alive when he doesnt call in 2 weeks. this is a very stressful situation for those who have family members serving in the war. Opinions i have wouild be to try and end the war in a timely manner not making any fast decisions, also i believe that the US cant end the war themselves we have to make peace with the iraqi leaders.
Central High School Shooting - Knoxville, Tennessee
A student by the name of Jamar Siler shot a fifteen year old boy named Ryan McDonald on Thursday at Central High School in Knoxville, Tennessee. The shooting started around 8:00 A.M. in the school cafeteria. Ryan was a sophomore who was living with his grandmother. He was diagnosed with alopecia at the age of 3. Alopecia is a condition in which you lost your hair.
Comments:
In my opinion, Ryan has really lived a difficult life and it sucks to hear that this happened to him. I would agree with the statement his uncle made when he said he was dealt some bad cards in his life. He had alopecia which made him the target for many kids to pick on him. He didn't have his parents because he was living with his grandmother. Then, he is shot by another kid because that kid chose to take his aggression out on Ryan. This shows that you are still at risk of being killed, even in school. This article has also proven to me that there are other people out there that I have it worse in their lives. This unfortunate incident also shows that gun control laws aren't being enforced as well as they should be because kids continue to manage to get guns on campus and end up shooting innocent people. This reminds me of the Virginia Tech shooting and how we as a country viewed the second amendment in an entirely different perspective after that event.
Questions:
Meli's Homework for Friday
I think this Jamar Siler is crazy. It's really sad the fact that he just shot him. The article does not say why he shot Ryan, which is my question, but for whatever reason, I think Jamar could have handled it better. I wouldn't know what to do if I was the judge. The crime is serious but then again, he's still a boy. This story really shocked me, it reminds me of what happened at the junior high school in oxnard, E.O. Green. Kids nowadays have seen so many movies and have that bad example from their parents that they begin to build crazy ideas.

Micheal Phelps is the only competior to win 8 gold medals at any single olympic game. His mother Debbie Phelps and two sisters Hilary and Whitney Phelps were all in Beijing to cheer on and support Micheal in winning his 8 gold medals. Since the Olympics started Micheals family as not seen much of him but as seen on t.v. and through reading articles the Phelps family is exteremly close. Ever since Micheal started swimming he was extremely compeditive. Now since Micheal has won his 8 gold medals he will be returning home to Baltimore, Maryland. When Micheal returns home he will be greeted by his swim club which he has been a long time member of.
Opinion:
I think this is really exticiting how Micheal won 8 gold medals in a single Olympic game. I also think having the support from his family really helped him on achiving his dream. When reading this article I wonder how someone trains and get ready for such a big event. My concern for Micheal is that many people may be jealous of him and try to ruin or hurt him by making up false rumors. I do believe that Micheal is gifted and as a long furture ahead of him and that things will only get better for him.

My thought about this article is that we cant always trust technology, and we cannot certainly depend on it. I believe that we can find other ways and solutions that fit our lifestyle. My concerns about this issue is that technology can cause even more serious problems that will cost us a life, and I'm afraid that it will kill humans someday. I also think technology has its advantages like the cure for diseases. I believe Technology has its advantages and disadvantages.
Fridays Homework
For the past few months President Bush has hesitated to create a timetable for the U.S. troops to exit out of Iraq, but they still want to have presence there just in case things continue to get out of hand. The situation would be in the hands of the next President, which will consume office next January, both candidates have opposite opinions on whether the troops remain or leave Iraq.
Obama wants to pull-out troops within his first 16 months of presidency; while McCain wants to have the troops remain in Iraq.
My Opinion
This war is the cause of all the problems that are happening here at home, an example would be the gas prices, during the early parts of summer the prices made a huge jump, but now are seeming to settle down a little. The withdrawal from the troops from Iraq, i think, would not only benefit the people who have loved ones fighting in the war but also the nations people. Many people support Democratic Candidate Obama because of his proposal to bring the troops back in a small amount of time. Why still have troops in Iraq, what is still the purpose?.....

Miguel's Homework Aug. 22, 2008
Three days this week Tropical Storm Fay has march through Florida. There has been alot of flooding specially along the Atlantic coast. Water has reach depths of 5 feet in some neighborhoods. This has forced residents to walk in floodwaters, driving alligators and snakes out of their habitats and into streets. People in flooded parts were warned to keep watch for the wildlife. Two alligators were captured in residential neighborhoods and several others spotted. Storm Fay is just the fourth storm in history to make landfall as a tropical storm three times. The Florida Gov. asked the Bush administration to declare a federal disaster in the region to help with the storm's costs. Storm Fay also hit southern Georgia. In Florida no deaths have been reported. But Fay was responsible for 20 deaths in the Carribean. For some residents their mood was alot brighter today, because the sun began to dry out some of the flooded parts.
Comments/Opinion
This article was good but I didnt like what the storm did for peoples lifes. Alot of people's houses were destroyed because of the flooding that took part. I hope the storm goes away so the people could get help and move on with their lifes. The wildlife really surprised me, I would be shocked if I saw an alligator next to me, knowing that it could eat me. Im greatfull that I live in Ventura, California where the weather is great.

I was born on a bright sunny day in the summer of 1990, at the Community Memorial Hospital. At an early age I learned my neighborhood streets weren’t always safe. This was because I got ran over by a bicycle. I’ve lived in the Ventura all my life, as a kid I really didn’t do much other than hang with my cousin and watch Power Rangers. But at age ten, one of my friends got me into playing baseball, and I have been playing ever since. One day I want to play for a Major League team. For now though I’m still searching for a job. I’m not sure what kind of job I want but one that works with my schedule. I’ve seen my dad hit a deer while we driving through Texas. I have seen the Sears Tower in Chicago, it moves side to side because its so tall. I have never been to the top of the tower, but I plan too. And it may happen sooner than later because I’m going back to Chicago next week. I have felt how it feels to be hit with a baseball and be without a cup. I have felt someone’s fist hit my face, it wasn’t the greatest feeling. I drive my dads truck and my moms van, I plan to buy my own car. I have baseball cards from back in the day, one day I plan to sell them. December usually brings a road trip to Mexico. Therefore the car smells like feet and ass, because we‘re in there for about two days. Once I saw a shooting star while on a plane. I got contacts two years ago, without them I can see much. I once was playing football in my front yard and to try to catch the ball I jumped over a fence and got a nail stuck on my leg, but I got up and kept going.
Rury's Homework Aug 22, 2008
Twin Taliban suicide bombings at Pakistan's largest weapons complex killed at least 59 people Thursday, heightening the turmoil following Pervez Musharraf's ouster as president.
The ruling coalition, made up of traditional rivals who were united primarily in their determination to force Musharraf from office, meanwhile appeared to be veering toward collapse. The two main parties have been unable to bridge key differences such as whether judges fired by Musharraf should be quickly reinstated and who should succeed him as president.
Pakistanis have urged the civilian government to stop bickering and turn quickly to tackling the country's problems from an economic downturn to extremist violence in the volatile northwest, where fighting between security forces and Islamic militants has escalated in recent weeks.
The bombers struck two different gates of the government weapons complex just as workers were leaving. The complex, comprising 12 factories, is located in Wah, a garrison city 20 miles west of the capital, Islamabad.
Army spokesman Maj. Gen. Athar Abbas said the perimeter is guarded by a dedicated paramilitary force. Experts have suggested that facilities related to Pakistan's secretive nuclear weapons program are located in the Wah area, possibly including a uranium enrichment plant. Abbas insisted the complex attacked on Thursday was producing only conventional weapons.
At the hospital, relatives searched frantically for loved ones as doctors worked to save those most seriously injured.
A young man, Mohammad Asif, stood wailing after identifying the lifeless body of his 60-year-old father in an ambulance.
Among more than a dozen bodies seen by an Associated Press Television News reporter at the hospital were two wearing uniforms, though an army spokesman said he had no information that security forces were among the dead.
Regional police Chief Nasir Durrani said authorities believed they had found the remains of the two bombers and would try to reconstruct their faces to try to identify them.
Maulvi Umar, a spokesman for Pakistani Taliban groups, told The Associated Press the attacks were in revenge for military airstrikes in Bajur, a militant stronghold near the Afghan border.
Tanvir Lodhi, a spokesman for Pakistan Ordnance Factories, said 59 people were killed. Mohammed Azhar, a hospital official, said 70 were wounded.Sharif wants to restore the all the justices, who could help him if he decides to seek revenge against Musharraf, who ousted the former premier in a 1999 coup, jailed him and then banished him to exile in Saudi Arabia.
Analysts say he also may be worried the former chief justice would revive corruption cases against him or facilitate legal action against Musharraf - a destabilizing move sure to dismay the country's Western backers, especially the United States.
The coalition also must agree on a candidate for president. The new leader must be elected by lawmakers by mid-September.
The People's Party insists that as the largest party in the coalition, it has the right to choose the new head of state, something unlikely to go over well with Sharif.
MY OPINION
In my opinion I think this people need some help, because they are killing their own people, and their are killing them self.
I'm concern for the innocent families that live there, living with scared and afraid of going out of their home, school, or work, scared of not having another day of life or losing their families. The government should do laws that could protect the people of that country so the can live safe and better.
Now I understand why alot of people emigrate from those countries, to the United States to find freedom and future, a plece were Democracy exist.
summary and response
This aritcle was about how they want to pull the troops out of the war within a certain time limit. Six years into the war and they are expecting to pull our troops out by June. It talks about a major part for the Us-Iraqi draft agreement that they should be out of the Iraqi's cities by June 30 of this upcoming year. There is also other timelines for other troops being able to go home, also a date on which all U.S. troops should all be gone. We have lost 1,400 people during this war and their has been many injuries also. Iraqis have suffered thier losses too. Democrat Barack Obama said that if he is elected into office that he would start taking out the troops and the combat forces within a 16 month time. The Iraqis are wanting specific times of when for ure the U.S. would be leaving.
My Opinion:
I like how they want to get our troops out of their and bring them back home to thier friends and family, its been six years into this war and its a good thing that they are trying to put an end to it. Even though they are still negiotating on it still, it would be nice for them to come to a specfic time on which it would be over, so that we wont be in the war anymore. We have lost many people through out this war so the sooner they negiotate the better because that means we wont be losing anymore and they can come back home to thier friends and family.
25 Bodies Identified From Plane Crash in Spain by Daniel Woolls
The article contains information about an airplane crash that occurred on August 20, 2008 in Madrid, Spain. The accident caused 153 deaths including 19 children and infants. Only 25 bodies were identified the day after the crash. The airplane was part of Spanair, the second largest airline in Spain. The Spanair flight was on its way to the Canary Islands and then the devestating occurred. The investigators of the crash are still uncertain of the main affect of why the crash happened, but one assumption is that one of the two engines failed and caught fire.
Comments
The King and Queen of Spain showed thier respect to the disaster and deaths of the people by visting the makeshift morgue where the bodies were taken. Both of the palne's black boxes have been recovered. The jetliner abandoned the first take off attempt due to overheating of the air gauge. Technicians checked the plane after the abandoned take off and then cleared it safe for a second attempt for flight. One Spanish couple were late to the flight by three minutes and missed the crash.
Thoughts
It is very unfortunate that this crash occurred and the crash was Spain's worse disaster in over 25 years. I do not understand why the technicians of the plane did not find any problems even though the air gauge was showning signs over overheating. It is devasting to know that women, children and innocent people were killed. I believe that technicians at all airports need to be extra cautious with planes that have abandoned their first flight.
