The Ventura College DataBase is a very resourceful tool. It helps me find thing without having to go through all these articles and magazines. What I love most about this tool is that you get genuine articles and no someones opinion

I learned that the online database is very usefull, I found alot of good articles about my topic. Im really happy that theres articles about my topic about how the conditions for troops are in Iraq.

Assignment due on Friday
By the end of class on Friday you will have one write up for each article we have read and talked about in class. The articles are 1. Don't fear the digital 2. Dad's encounter with the vortex of facebook 3. Social Studies 4. Friend Game.

Hi all and good morning!
Today in class you need to do the following assignment and print it at the end of class and turn it in to me.
Choose one of the articles you read for homework last night.
Write one paragraph where you summarize the overall, main argument that the writer is making.
Write a second paragraph where you extract (quote) some of the evidence the writer used when he made that argument.
Jose and I are both here for questions. Please spell check and proff before you turn it in!

My Opinion
Everybody has come up with very good ideas like immigration, abortion, drugs, gay marriage, Iraq war, torture etc. In my humble opinion if any topic other than the above ones deserves a debate that is " Climate Change". Our earth is getting warmer day by day and we are facing more natural disasters like Katrina or Gustav. Glaciers in North pole are melting and causing a threat to natural environment. Let's give a second thought to climate change. I am along with the class anyways:)
